On Friday, January 3, 2025, Plaza College proudly hosted the orientation for Cohort 12 of the Dental Hygiene Program, welcoming 40 passionate students—21 in the Associate program and 19 in the Bachelor program—eager to embark on their dental hygiene journeys. The day began with breakfast and raffles, followed by warm welcomes and valuable insights from Dr. Sleeper, Dean of the School of Dental Sciences, and Director Jennings, Associate Director of the Dental Hygiene Program. Faculty and student speakers inspired the group with encouraging stories, while students were introduced to key policies, departmental guidelines, and resources to support their success. Highlights included icebreaker activities, lunch with study groups, and a hands-on CPR training session. Upon completing the training, students received their Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, equipping them with essential skills for their future careers. Plaza College is thrilled to support Cohort 12 as they work toward becoming leaders in the dental hygiene field and making a positive impact in their communities!
