Library + Academic Resources Center
The place for all your research, studying, tutoring, or testing needs.
Academic resources center
Academic support isn’t just for when you’re feeling lost or behind – it’s critical to staying ahead!
Plaza’s Academic Resources Center (ARC) provides academic support to students through faculty and peer tutoring, supplemental instruction, writing assistance programs, and workshops – at no additional cost to our students.
ARC Tutoring Specialties
Our tutors are professors in the subject they tutor in; therefore, our students can be confident that the instruction they receive in the ARC is effective and accurate.
HAVE A QUESTION?
While we do offer tutoring in all subjects taught at Plaza, tutoring in a particular subject may not be available at all times. Therefore, we recommend that you check the ARC schedule/ tutor specialties list before coming in, and make an appointment to ensure you receive the appropriate assistance.
No. While we strongly suggest that you make an appointment to guarantee that you get the help you need (especially during busy periods like midterms, portfolio due dates, and finals), the ARC encourages walk-ins.
While tutoring is our primary mission, the ARC is proud to offer many other services to our students. We offer state-of-the-art computers with full software suites and a dedicated laptop for viewing DVDs to help students stay caught up with their assignments. We are also a testing center where students can make up quizzes or tests they may have missed due to absence. Look for our grammar workshops, math workshops, and in-class presentations to supplement your Plaza experience!
