Throughout the Spring ’24 semester, nursing students from Cohort 3 were provided with a wide array of opportunities to explore diverse nursing career paths and job prospects through a series of informative sessions hosted by local healthcare providers. On June 7th, representatives from Jamaica Hospital Medical Center shared information on career opportunities, as well as JHMC’s student loan forgiveness program, which offers financial support to nurses pursuing their careers at the hospital.
On June 21st, students learned about nursing positions at Mt. Sinai Queens from the Chief Nursing Officer. On July 12th, New York-Presbyterian offered insights on “Acing the Interview,” conducted Q&A sessions, and facilitated interviews with students.
Lastly, on July 19th, Catholic Health Services of Long Island, one of Plaza’s clinical partners, visited to discuss opportunities across their facilities.Special thanks to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, Mount Sinai Queens, NewYork-Presbyterian, and Catholic Health Services of Long Island for providing valuable career information to our nursing students!
