Nursing Faculty

Part-Time

Plaza College invites applications for the position of nursing faculty (part-time/adjunct) in their upper division Nursing (B.S.) Program. Applicants must have both recent clinical and teaching experience in one or more of the following specialty areas:

· Health Assessment

· Medical-Surgical Nursing

· Pharmacology

· Mental Health Nursing

· Maternal-Child Nursing

· Community Nursing

· Nursing Simulations

All faculty must be available to teach on-site at the Plaza College campus in Forest Hills, Queens and/or one of our local partner hospitals. Courses run three semesters per year (Sept-Dec, Jan-April, May-Aug).

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualified applicants hold a minimum of a Master’s degree in Nursing or a related science and at least 2 years of teaching experience at the baccalaureate level.

Faculty, Surgical Technology

Full-Time

Faculty in this role provide didactic and/or laboratory instruction and supervision to students in the College’s Surgical Technology lab and classrooms. Faculty are expected to follow guidance from designated course leaders, assist students in achieving prescribed program outcomes, ensure competency standards are met, and follow designated course objectives. Monitoring student of clinical and competency requirements and supporting the academic success of at-risk students through academic advisement are critical components of the role.

Applicants must hold MSN and have recent didactic course leadership experience in one or more of the following specialty areas: Health Assessment, Medical-Surgical Nursing, Pharmacology, Mental Health Nursing, Maternal-Child Nursing, Community Nursing, Nursing Simulations. All faculty must be available to teach on-site at the Plaza College campus in Forest Hills, Queens. Nursing Faculty are scheduled to be onsite four days per week, and are provided one day of release for professional practice/development. Courses run three semesters per year (Sept-Dec, Jan-April, May-Aug). Faculty are on recess between semesters.

Applicants must hold MSN and have recent clinical experience in one or more of the following specialty areas: Health Assessment, Medical-Surgical Nursing, Pharmacology, Mental Health Nursing, Maternal-Child Nursing, Community Nursing, Nursing Simulations. All faculty must be available to report to local clinical sites and the Plaza College campus in Forest Hills, Queens. Courses run three semesters per year (Sept-Dec, Jan-April, May-Aug).
