Plaza College recently hosted a successful Clinical Orientation for Cohort 6, where 60 dedicated students gathered to prepare for their upcoming clinical rotations. The day began with an introduction from Dr. Callahan, followed by a warm breakfast and the distribution of Acceptance Packages, providing an opportunity for students to connect and share excitement. Director Atkinson led an informative Clinical Onboarding session, offering key insights into clinical procedures and professional expectations. Students also learned about their clinical placements and how they are being onboarded for their first semester of clinicals at prestigious healthcare facilities including Jamaica Hospital, Jamaica Nursing Home, New York Presbyterian Queens, Little Neck Care Center, Gurwin Nursing and Rehabilitation, and Mt. Sinai Queens. The morning concluded with a hands-on CPR and N95 Fit Test session in the Skills Lab, where students earned CPR certificates and were equipped with essential skills needed for patient care. With a strong foundation in clinical protocols and a sense of community, Cohort 6 is now ready to embark on their healthcare careers with confidence.
