Plaza College proudly welcomed its incoming Court Reporting Spring 2025 students during a vibrant and inspiring onboarding event in the lovely Plaza Commons. The atmosphere was electric with anticipation as students arrived eager to begin their academic journey and become part of a legacy of excellence in court reporting education.

This special evening marked more than just a welcome—it served as an essential foundation for student success. From the very first moments, students received key information, connected with faculty and staff, and began building the relationships that will support them throughout their time at Plaza.

Admissions opened the event with heartfelt congratulations and important reminders about upcoming milestones, including orientation and the first day of classes. Their words reaffirmed the significance of this moment: every student in the room had earned their place, and the Plaza community was excited to have them there.

Director Santucci followed with a motivating message that highlighted the impact of the Court Reporting program and the dedication it requires. She introduced a special guest—a recent graduate who served with the Queens Grand Jury—who shared their firsthand experience transitioning from student to working professional. Their story, echoed by alumni like Deasia, Melanie, and David, resonated powerfully, illustrating the real-world value of the skills taught at Plaza.

Adding a personal perspective, Denee took the stage to reflect on her journey through the program. Her story was both honest and encouraging, giving new students a realistic and empowering preview of the road ahead. She reminded students that they were not alone—that challenges would come, but support was always available.

The evening continued with a hands-on IT overview. The technology team walked students through the digital tools they would use in their courses, and Director Santucci provided a live demonstration on setting up machines and navigating the learning platforms. This portion of the night ensured that all students felt confident and ready to begin their coursework.

As the event moved into distribution, students received their Plaza ID cards, textbooks, and loaner laptops. While they waited, they had the opportunity to ask questions, receive one-on-one guidance, and chat with faculty and staff. The line buzzed with conversation and excitement as the evening progressed.

This onboarding event held real value. It created a connection, built confidence, and set expectations. It showed students that they were not just entering a program—they were joining a community that believed in their potential and was invested in their success. The night was not only informative but genuinely joyful, filled with excitement, inspiration, and pride.

Plaza College was thrilled to welcome the Court Reporting Spring 2025 students. The journey began here, and it was already off to a remarkable start—one made even more meaningful through the presence and support of alumni like Deasia, Melanie, and David, who continue to inspire the next generation of court reporters.
