Plaza Student Laptop Requirements

LOOKING TO BUY/UPGRADE YOUR LAPTOP?

The laptop requirement ensures that you will have access to the resources needed to successfully complete Plaza College’s program of study. 

If you will be purchasing a laptop for your time at Plaza College, already own a laptop computer, or choose to select a different model, please check that it meets our recommended configuration.

We provide best-effort support for all student laptops to troubleshoot and fix any software or device issues. Any issues that require replacing or repairing hardware or reinstalling an operating system will generally need to be handled directly by the manufacturer’s support.

SOFTWARE

Operating Systems

  • Windows: 11 and 10* Full Versions
    • * Windows 10/11 “S mode” is not a compatible operating system.
    • * Windows 10/11 “SE” is currently incompatible with Plaza College software.
  • *Mac: macOS 10.15 to 14.0+

(* Plaza College’s Court Reporting program software does not support the use of Apple (Mac) products)

  • Windows and Mac: 8 GB RAM (16gb of RAM is recommended)

Hard Disk Space

  • Windows and Mac: 256 MB of hard disk space
  • A Solid State Drive (SSD hard disk) is recommended.
