Associate of Occupational Studies (A.O.S.)

Your interests are unique, varied, and significant, so choosing a program that provides you the flexibility to explore all of them just makes sense. The Managerial Studies program enables students to personalize their options and select from a variety of open electives to best meet each individual’s needs and interests.

WHAT IS MANAGERIAL STUDIES?

This career-focused program provides students the ability to choose between four focus options – Business, Medical Office, Healthcare Information, or Legal Studies. With a strong set of administrative, computer, and writing skills, graduates of the program are poised for success in their chosen field.

YOU MIGHT LIKE THIS PROGRAM IF:

  • You want the convenience of a flexible curriculum that will give you options and allow you to take courses that cater to your interests and goals.
  • Building a strong set of foundational knowledge and skills is what you’d like to build your expertise on, but you’d also like some concentrated, field-focused abilities to bring to the table.
  • You’d eventually like to obtain your bachelor’s (or master’s!) degree, but earning your associate’s degree and getting some work experience under your belt first sounds like a good idea.

This career-focused program is designed to develop a strong set of administrative and computer skills that can be applied to the business, medical, or legal settings, depending upon the option selected. Each of the options includes computer and information technology courses appropriate to the specialty. The program includes skill development in writing and information literacy that form the basis for continuing studies at the bachelor’s level.

Our professors are subject matter experts in their fields. Throughout the program, they’ll share their knowledge with you, providing a strong foundation and hands-on experience to prepare you for a successful business career.
